Inuit Food Bowl Wood, Qantat, 19th century, bentwood sides, with carved out flat-bottom, trace of red paint on the interior rim, and black line painted on the interior, the bottom engraved with an abstracted linear form, possibly a caribou, probably used to identify the owner, or the owner's animal totem, ht. 3 1/2, lg. 13 1/4, and wd. 8 1/4 in.
