Five Large G.C. Cox Platinum/Palladium Prints and Ten Aquatic Life Printing Blocks,Late 19th Century. The photographs mounted on gray board, each stamped "G.C. Cox Photo" at l.l. corner of the image, the images identified on the reverse include "W.J. Stillman," "Wendell P. Garrison, Ed. 'The Nation,'" "Gary Melcher (the artist)," "Wyatt Easton (the artist)," and "Gen. Geo. B. McClellan"; the ten printing blocks with copper or lead alloy plates, some marked "Washburn" or "Rand," photographs 9 1/4 x 7 3/8 in.
Provenance: The Charles Foster Batchelder III estate, upstate New York, formerly of Natick, Massachusetts.
