Stone Extract Books of Verse, an Unnamed Book of Verse, and Ancestral Tablets Genealogical Book, the Foster extract book, folio, containing approx. 140 pages with extracts of verse and poetry, six pages of 1850s sewn-in identified botanical specimens with some noted as being from Florida, and numerous pages of Civil War newspaper clippings; two octavo Mary H. Stone extract books containing in one volume 140 pages of verse and prose, the other containing approximately forty written pages of verse and several loose religious writings, together spanning 1874-1876; the unnamed book of verse containing approximately eighty pages of verse from Shakespeare and various philosophical works, spanning 1802-1805; and Ancestral Tablets (Boston: Wm. Parsons, 1880),with family tree including surnames Adam, Ring, Montgomery, Knoe, Bird, Woodbury, Dodge, Conant, Lombard, Herrick, and Lapham.
Provenance: The Charles Foster Batchelder III estate, upstate New York, formerly of Natick, Massachusetts.
