Octavo in marbled boards, approx. 100 leaves, each page with one day's entry for the corresponding date in 1864, 1865, 1866 and 1867, spanning July 4-December 31, detailing the day-to-day household activities, visits, weather and activities with her husband, Lincoln Ripley Stone; entry for July 6, 1865 reads "In the Hospital again where we spent the day in Lincoln's office mostly packing papers, finishing up matters, he Took one last leave of it till we see it from the back."
