Lincoln, Abraham (1809-1865) Note Signed, 13 February 1864. Lined paper inscribed on both sides with testimony of Peter George claiming that his son of sixteen enlisted without his consent, on the reverse the Board of Enrollment attests to the integrity of Peter George, accompanied by Lincoln's note reading "Let this boy be discharged," (blind-stamped u.r., old folds with tears, repairs),11 1/2 x 8 in.
