Pair of Chelsea Porcelain Figural Candlesticks, England, late 18th century, gilt trim and polychrome enameled male and female figures backed by flowering bocage, ht. 10 1/4 in.
Provenance: Ker Arvor, Newport, Rhode Island.

Man: chip to nozzle rim; drip pan with sizable loss and damage; repaired at join to tree; chip to hat brim and losses to ends of associated ribbons; numerous chips to flowers and leaves; horizontal hairline surrounding the back of the base.
Woman: chips and hairline to nozzle; drip pan with repairs and at join to tree; several chips to hat brim; head off and simply reglued at neck; chips and losses to leaves and flower heads.
