Pair of Trompe l'Oeil Three-drop Panels
Unsigned.
Red and white chalk on paper presented in gouache and watercolor embellished mats, overall sight size 50 1/2 x 14 3/4 in. (128.3 x 37.5 cm),framed.
Condition: Some of the drawings with creasing and subtle handling creases, not examined out of frames.
N.B. Each of these two modern, trompe l'oeil works recreates the appearance of three roundel sketches of children, engaged in garden tasks, hung vertically on tasseled cords.
Provenance: Ker Arvor, Newport, Rhode Island.
