Signed or inscribed and dated "gemahlt von Johan Caspar Küster/in Winterthür 1795" on the reverse.
Oil on panel, 21 3/4 x 28 in. (55.2 x 70.7 cm),framed.
Condition: Retouch, craquelure, panel with horizontal joint stabilized with butterfly inlays.
Estimate $700-900

Framed dimensions are 25 1/4 x 31 3/4 x 1 3/4 in. Beveled panel.

There is another small wood piece securing the horizontal joint on the far right side of the reverse.

There is a broadly written pencil inscription at top of the reverse which appears to be the artist's name.

The Getty Union List of Names lists the artist as Dutch, but the RFK lists the artist as Swiss.
