Swedish Gustavian Drop-front Mahogany Desk/Chest, 18th century, mottled gray Oland limestone top with cut corners, brass trim and hardware, ht. 36 1/4, top lg. 46 1/2, dp. 22 3/4 in.
Provenance: Proported to have come from The Swedish Royal family to the family of the consignor by direct descent.

Provenance is verbal from a relative. Drop-front mechanism difficult to operate. Back leg with molding separated but present. Minor patches to veneer. Age-typical abrasions, nicks, etc.
