Soviet Porcelain Figure of Feodor Chaliapin in the Role of Boris Godunov, Russia, 1940s, Leningrad Porcelain factory, after the 1922 model by Yakov Troupyansky and a painted design by Varvara Rukavishnikova, dressed in 17th century attire, including richly embroidered cisele overcoat and shirt, brown boots, and skullcap, with gilt detailing throughout; blue overglaze factory mark, numeral "35" and red inscription "V/C" in Cyrillic under base, ht. 11 1/8 in.
