Samuel Minott Coin Silver Tankard, Boston, Massachusetts, c. 1760, the domed lid with flame finial and Onslow thumbpiece, with a slightly flaring cylindrical body bearing an engraved coat of arms, initialed "IDI" to the handle, marked, ht. 8 3/4 in.
Provenance: Firestone and Parson, Boston.

Signs of solder at handle join and surrounding the underside of the base. No weakness to the body but does appear that there has been some work done to the body of the tankard. Typical surface abrasions and scattered slight denting. Slight dent to footrim. Engraving possibly later.
