Walnut Wall Regulator, Boston, c. 1860s, carved and incised case with a 16-in. dia. multi-stepped hinged bezel, above the central waist section, arched hinged lower door with glazed window, and terminating in a carved floral decorated pedestal, 13-in. roman numeral painted iron dial marked "E. Howard & Co. Boston," typical blued Howard hand set, eight-day timepiece signed "E. Howard/Boston," dead-beat escapement, maintaining power, and Geneva stop mechanism, powered and regulated by a cast iron weight marked "1," cherry pendulum rod with damascened brass-faced bob, ht. 71 1/2 in.
