Gilt-front Patent Timepiece or "Banjo" Clock, attributed to William Grant, c. 1820, hinged brass bezel opening to the roman numeral painted iron dial with faint inscription, typical Grant-style iron hands, rope-turned gilt frames enclosing the reverse-painted tablets, eight-day, time-only movement with recoil escapement, regulated by a brass pendulum and lead weight, ht. 32 1/2 in.

overall nice condition, old replaced finial, dial with faint reading "ton" for Boston, old replaced glasses.
