Set of Five Painted Windsor Side Chairs, attributed to Abraham Shove, Bristol County, Massachusetts, c. 1800-10, with seven spindles, shaped seats, and bamboo-turned swelled splayed legs joined by stretchers, early surface of green paint overall and brown-painted seats, ht. 36 3/4, seat ht. 18 in.

The chairs are all very stable. The backs wiggle slightly but are also quite solid. Chairs all have paint loss, especially to seats, and to varying degrees.
