George Washington Cast Iron Dumb Stove Figure, Alonzo Blanchard, designer, Albany, New York, c. 1843, Washington stands with a draped cloak on one arm and a document in the other hand, cast in two parts, later white paint, (cracked),ht. 47 in.

Provenance: Potter Family Estate.

Note: Dumb stoves were often connected to a working stove pipe on a lower floor.
