Motif #1. Signed "-M. STARK-" l.r. Oil on canvasboard, 11 7/8 x 15 3/4 in., framed. Condition: Retouch, trimmed unevenly u.l. edge, minor surface grime.

Framed dimensions are 18 1/4 x 22 1/4 x 2 1/2 in.

At the u.l. corner one can see where the piece is irregularly trimmed. There are two diagonal lines that seem almost incised or cut in the paint coming down from a peak in that corner. In raking light one can almost make out some other diagonal lines crossing the shack, perhaps suggesting that these lines were used by the artist for perspective. These are very subtle.

Retouch to the sky, although this may be in combination with some natural pigment fluorescence in the multiple shades of blue.
