Unsigned, stamped or inscribed "EUGENE VAIL" on the stretcher, titled on a label from Garde-Meuble Maple affixed to the stretcher.
Oil on canvas, 14 1/2 x 21 in. (36.8 x 53.3 cm),unframed.
Condition: Stretcher marks, surface grime, minor craquelure, a narrow diagonal line of visible retouch to the l.r. and other minor retouch.
Estimate $1,200-1,800
Small smudge of white paint to the reverse under the stretcher bar. Small depressed area to u.l. quadrant. Tack hole to lower center. No additional condition issues to report.
