Oil on Masonite, 25 x 30 in. (63.5 x 76.5 cm), framed.
Condition: Small abrasion to l.l. quadrant, scattered minor surface imperfections or accretions, minor surface grime.
Provenance: Private Massachusetts collection.
N.B. An artist and illustrator, most notably for children's books, Harrison Cady spent his summers in Rockport and was a founding member of the Rockport Art Association in 1921. The distinctive round building Cady used as his summer studio sits on Atlantic Avenue, and offered a bird's-eye view of the harbor that Cady depicts in this scene.
Framed dimensions are 29 1/4 x 34 x 1 1/4 in.
