Description:
Ghada Amer (Egyptian, b. 1963)
Untitled, 1992
Signed and dated "Ghada Amer 92-" in pencil l.r., identified on an unattributed exhibition label indicating that the drawing was lent courtesy of the artist and Gagosian Gallery, New York.
Pencil and crayon on paper, 11 3/4 x 8 1/4 in. (29.7 x 21.0 cm),framed.
Condition: Minor handling creases, not examined out of frame.
Estimate $1,200-1,800
Framed dimensions are 14 1/2 x 11 x 1 1/4. Work is framed with Conservation Clear (UV filtering) glass, per a label on the frame backing paper.
The drawing is floated in the frame so that all edges of the sheet are visible. Overall condition is good. It appears that the work is signed and dated also on the reverse, because that inscription is faintly visible through the paper (l.l. of the front, so signed on the reverse l.r.)
Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging. Any condition statement given, as a courtesy to a client, is only an opinion and should not be treated as a statement of fact. Skinner shall have no responsibility for any error or omission.
