Unsigned, inscribed "Gerard H..." in pencil on the reverse.
Oil on panel, 7 3/4 x 6 5/8 in. (19.8 x 16.0 cm),unframed.
Condition: Stable craquelure, scattered very minor abrasions, possible masking varnish.
Estimate $800-1,200
There are two different patterns of craquelure - one following the fine grain of the panel and the other slightly broader in pattern as expected in drying paint. The craquelure is stable. Frame abrasions as noted above around the perimeter. The work is difficult to photograph in natural light due to varnish reflections.
