Nine Framed Prints from the Parable of the Prodigal Son. Various publishers including P. Stampa (fl. 1798-1817), Thomas Evans (1739-1803), and Isaac Basire (1704-1768). Engravings with hand-coloring, sight sizes to 6 1/2 x 9 1/2 in., framed. Condition: Most with toning, staining, foxing, some with small tears or losses.
N.B. The scenes include Receiving his Patrimony (two copies), Taking Leave, Spending his Substance(two copies), In Misery, Kindly Received, and Feasted on his Return. The ninth scene is not titled, but is similar to Receiving his Patrimony.
