Odalisque au coffret rouge, 1926, 1952, edition of 200, printed by Lacourière, Paris. Signed "Matisse" in pencil l.r., numbered "179/200" in pencil l.l. Color etching and aquatint on Arches paper with watermark, plate size 16 5/8 x 22 in. (42.2 x 55.8 cm),framed.
Condition: Toning, water (or similar) staining to lower margin, several fox marks, rippling to sheet.
Estimate $800-1,200
The sheet measures 22 1/8 x 29 7/8 in., and the frame is 24 x 31 1/2 x 1 1/4 in. The toning is uneven in the corners (see condition photos).
