Ellsworth Kelly (American, 1923-2015)
Blue over Orange, 1964-65, from the Suite of Twenty-seven Color Lithographs, 1965, edition of 75 plus proofs (Axsom, 21). Signed "Kelly" in pencil l.r., numbered "71/75" in pencil l.l., identified on a label from Harcus Krakow Gallery, Boston, affixed to the backing. Color lithograph on watermarked Rives paper, image size 22 1/2 x 15 1/2 in. (57.0 x 39.3 cm),framed.
Condition: Pale foxing, floated within the frame, not examined out of frame.

The sheet measures 35 1/4 x 23 1/2 in., and the frame is 36 1/2 x 25 x 1 1/2 in. Inscribed "#18" in pencil on verso, cockling, sheet is gently toned, two tape hinges on the verso to the upper corners are slightly paler on recto than the rest of sheet (see condition photos),minute accretions to center of blue square, extremely minute abrasion to u.r. quadrant of blue square resulting in lifting or surface tear of blue pigment.
