Le repos, 1968, edition of 50 plus proofs (Mourlot, 555). Signed "Marc Chagall" in pencil l.r., numbered "35/50" in pencil l.l. Color lithograph on paper, image size 11 1/8 x 18 1/4 in. (28.2 x 46.3 cm),framed.
Condition: Toning, mat burn, not examined out of frame.

Out of the frame the sheet is a wove paper with deckled lower edge, and measures 17 3/8 x 23 3/4 in. The mat burn is strong and outside of this the margins are unevenly stained. Inside the toning is even. It is "hinged" with 3 pieces of masking tape to its facing mat along the upper edge verso. Nickel-size thinned spot to upper edge on verso. Pencil annotation to verso. The frame measures 20 1/2 x 26 x 1 1/2 in.
