Two Massim Sword Clubs, Milne Bay Province, Papua New Guinea, the longer a wide blade, cutlass style type, with lime-filled decoration, with old with painted inventory number, the other with narrow blade, decorated with lime-filled incised scrollwork, with a paper label and inventory number, lg. 29 1/2 and 29 in.

Provenance: Private collection, Westport, New York; John and Marcia Friede collection, Rye, New York; Stanley Moriarty collection, Sydney, Australia, for the cutlass.
