Santana Antonio (b. 1915) and Irma Maldonado (b. 1932) Southwest Pottery Jar, Acoma Pueblo, New Mexico, hand-coiled terracotta, black lined geometric design on a cream slip, marked "Acoma N.M., S. Antonio + I.R.M.," ht. 9 1/2, dia. 11 in.
Note: Santana Antonio was born in 1915. She was the mother of Acoma potters Irma Maldonado and Richard Antonio; grandmother of Iona K. Chino and Daniel Antonio; and great-grandmother of Hilary Antonio.
