Two Similar Wedgwood Egyptian Candlesticks, England, early 19th century, a rosso antico with black basalt relief and a black basalt with rosso antico relief, each with candle nozzle set atop three sphinx monopeds and set on a shaped triangular base, impressed marks, ht. 6 3/4, 7 in.
Estimate $500-700
Rosso antico: Nozzle off at join and simply reattached; slight chips to underside of nozzle and to base. Base with chip repairs.
Black basalt: Repaired chip to nozzl rim; nozzle reattached at join; numerous small chips along edges of base.
