Red Cross "Honor Roll" Fund-raising Quilt, McCool Junction, Nebraska, c. 1917, designed as a central red cross surrounded by stitched lettering "Honor Roll," "McCool Jct/Nebraska," date "1917," dozens of smaller crosses, and hundreds of embroidered names of the donors, 77 1/2 x 66 in.
Provenance: The Forbes-Williams Family.
Estimate $2,500-3,500
some fading to red fabric along folds at center and to some red crosses. Yellowish stain at lower center. No apparent weakening or deterioration to fabrics.
