Needlework Sampler "Elizabeth Lowden Langley," possibly Rhode Island, early 19th century, worked in silk threads on a linen ground, with alphanumeric rows above a central oval with the maker's name and age, above a verse, and maker's name repeated below, with small vignettes of animals and trees throughout, all surrounded by a flowering vine border, (fading, toning, minor losses),16 3/4 x 11 3/4 in., in a molded giltwood frame.
