Most maps in black and white with some hand-colored, and intricately so, including a c. 1540 map interiorly illustrated with various enthroned rulers and mythical creatures, a map of Madagascar with a description of the inhabitants and accompanying medallion illustrations, and several maps depicting views of coastal town and fortifications, largest 24 1/2 x 21 in.
