New England Cherry Tall Clock, c. 1830, black and gilt-painted fret over the free standing reeded columns, roman numeral painted iron dial with moon's phase in the arch, full-length waist door flanked by reeded quarter columns, terminating in simple flared French feet, eight-day, time and our strike mechanism, powered by two iron weights and regulated by a brass-faced pendulum ht. 87 in.

case has been refinished, fret work is replaced, I believe all the black/ebonized paint on the moldings on the case is fairly new (last few decades)French feet have some losses but are original. Movement complete, numerals on dial have been heightened, hands are not correct and do not match.
