Description:

French Art Nouveau Silk Gown, late 19th/early 20th century, pink silk gown with green/blue chiffon overlay, lace sleeves and bib, gold trim, pink hand-embroidered and pearled decoration down front and back apron, gray silk dust ruffle and train, (imperfections, damage).

N.B. Attached to the dress box is a note: "Dress given to Susan H. Phillips by her grandmother, Caroline Drayton Phillips. Dress belonged either to Mrs. Q. Oqiluy Haig (Charlotte Astor Drayton Haig) or to Mrs. Orme Wilson (Caroline Astor Wilson)."
