Pair of Cloisonne Vases by Hayashi Chuzo, Japan, Meiji period, six-lobed elliptical baluster form, each depicting a crane amongst chrysanthemums and daisies, against a black ground, between a patterned band around mouth and foot rims, impressed "chu" mark on base, ht. 14 1/2 in.

one with minor warping around mouth rim, scratches, cracks, and chips to enameled body, and cracks around neck and under mouth rim; both with minor fine surface scratches to enamel, minor rusting and fine surface scratches to metal rims.
