Two Album Leaf Paintings, China, early 20th century, one depicting ladies in a garden scene, the other in nature with scholarly rocks and a bridge, unsigned with two seals, ink and color on silk, matted in fabric, sight size 10 3/8 x 12 1/4 in.
Provenance: Descended in the family of Dr. Marshall Hertig, an internationally noted medical entomologist who conducted research on disease bearing insects at the Peking Union Medical College, from 1923-1928, his wife Edwina Smiley Hertig, and their son Bruce Allerton Hertig to the present owner.

strewn with dark spots to some areas, mild toning.
