Two Fragmentary Double-sided Sketches: Study of Hands and Drapery (verso sketch of a rinceau and a bit of drapery), inscribed "Ben. Cellini..." l.l. and "Benvenuto Cellini..." l.c., both in ink, on the reverse, red chalk on laid paper, 6 7/16 x 5 7/16 in. (16.4 x 13.7 cm),hinged to a piece of glass; and Florentine-style Figural Sketches, Study for a Combat Subject (verso Head Studies), unsigned, red chalk and pen and ink on laid paper, 6 3/8 x 6 3/4 in. (16.3 x 17.0 cm),unmatted, unframed.
Condition: Hands and Drapery with staining, creasing, toning, soiling; Figural Sketches with foxing, staining, irregularly trimmed with small losses at corners.
