Signed "MURPHY" l.l., titled on a presentation plaque, on an unattributed handwritten label on the stretcher, and on an exhibition label from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (see below) affixed to the back of the frame.
Oil on canvas, 12 x 10 in. (30.5 x 25.5 cm),in a period, probably original, frame.
Condition: Lined, retouch, fine stable craquelure.
Exhibitions: (Presumed) One Hundred and Sixteenth Annual Exhibition, The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, Philadelphia, 1921. (Not listed in the Falk PAFA exhibition index for that year.)
