Dated, signed, and inscribed "11 Nov 39 Matta N.Y." l.r., with an unidentified dry stamp l.r., titled in an inscription on the reverse, inscribed "Top" and "17" (within a circle) on the reverse.
Pencil and colored pencil on paper, 12 3/4 x 19 3/4 in. (32.4 x 50.1 cm),unframed.
Condition: Toning, staining, foxing, mat burn, small losses to u.l. and l.l. corners, crease u.r., scattered handling creases, pinholes to corners, tape remnants and adhesive residue to edges on the reverse.

The work is accompanied by a handwritten label indicating that it was purchased at Peggy Guggenheim's Art of This Century gallery in New York.
