Roy Lichtenstein (American, 1923-1997)
Tel Aviv Museum Print, 1989, edition of 60 plus proofs, co-published by the artist and Tyler Graphics Ltd., Mount Kisco, New York, for the benefit of the American Friends of the Tel Aviv Museum of Art (Corlett, 238). Numbered, signed, and dated "52/60 rf Lichtenstein '89" in pencil l.r., publisher's dry stamp l.r. Color lithograph on paper, image size 20 5/8 x 51 1/2 in. (52.4 x 130.8 cm),framed.
Condition: Full sheet with deckled edges, the dark blue ink has faded to or was replaced at printing with a purple ink, plus other possible color attenuation, very soft creases to corners of margins u.l. and l.l., floated within the frame, not examined out of frame.
Provenance: Purchased from Fine Arts and Artist, Inc., Washington, DC, 1993, by the current Massachusetts collector.
N.B. The work is accompanied by a copy of a letter from (Cassandra Lozano for) Roy Lichtenstein, dated December 16, 1993.

The sheet measures 26 1/4 x 56 1/2 in., and the frame measures 34 1/2 x 64 3/4 x 1 3/4 inches. The work has been partially removed from its frame, but is hinged along each side to the backing. The corner with the publisher's dry stamp is inscribed with the workshop number "RL89-977" in pencil.
