Three Different States of Black Ducks Towering, 1930, proof E, proof J-4, and an impression of the published state, edition of 150 (Paff, 305). Each signed "FrankWBenson." in pencil l.l., proof E with collector's stamp of the Boston Public Library, Merrill Bequest (Lugt, 4745). Drypoint on various papers, plate sizes 11 7/8 x 7 7/8 in. (30.2 x 20.0 cm),unmatted, unframed.
Condition: Some edges deckled, pencil annotations to lower margins, minor soiling and fingerprints to both proofs, proof J-4 with hinge residue to verso.
Provenance: Descended within the family of the artist.
