Grain-painted Chest of Four Drawers, Vermont, early 19th century, in exuberant paint of tan and dark brown swirls on a cutout skirt, original wooden pulls and pressed brass escutcheons, (restoration to left rear foot),ht. 36 3/4, case wd. 38, dp. 18 in.

back left foot pieced 1 inch, possible retouch to original painted surface to back right foot.
