Two Staffordshire Molded Plates, England, third quarter 18th century, an oval creamware platter with molded lattice rim and fruit decoration, highlighted in green and manganese glazes; and a small tortoiseshell plate with bead and reel rim pattern, wd. to 12 1/2 in.
Provenance: The tortoiseshell plate, Matthew & Elisabeth Sharpe.

Creamware plate has a hairline crack that extends down into the base and two restored rim chips. The tortoiseshell plate has no obvious chips, cracks or evidence of repair.
