Watercolor Birth Fraktur for Rachel Gaff, Abraham Huth, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, July 27th, 1808, designed as a large central stylized tulip-form reserve with inscription, surmounted by more tulips, a multi-pointed star, and fanciful birds, all flanked by urns each issuing two tulip blossoms, (minor losses, folds, tears),12 1/4 x 15 1/2 in., in a period black-painted scratch-beaded frame.

Three vertical folds, one horizontal fold near the lower edge, small spots of paper loss at edges and in the folds, old adhesive tape repairs to the back, no obvious paper restoration or in-painting. Minor toning and minor foxing/spotting.
