Pair of Red/brown-painted Fan-back Windsor Chairs, Chester County, Pennsylvania, c. 1780-1800, with serpentine crests, shaped seats, and dramatically splayed vase- and ring-turned legs, ht. 37 1/2, seat ht. 16 3/4 in.

Structurally, these chairs are in great shape - stable, strong, and without any replacements, major damage, or repair. There is a light stain to one seat. The surface appears to be a dark red-brown probably late 19th century varnish.
