Watercolor Fraktur Birth Announcement for Abraham Hay, Forks Township, Northampton County, Pennsylvania, signed "Godfrey Baumgard, 1827," designed as a rectangular reserve flanked by figures in red coats and surmounted by initials within a floral vine and perched birds, and similar vine below, (toning, minor fading, tears and evidence of repair),12 1/4 x 15 1/4 in., in a period tulip-carved frame.

Sheet has been backed with tissue to secure two vertical separations. The separations have small areas of paper restoration and associated in-painting. Tissue backing also secures scattered short edge splits/tears. Minor discoloration primarily through the vertical center.
