Condition: Small gouge to panel u.l., tack hole or similar u.c., abrasions, minor retouch.
N.B. Although dancing and celebrations before an inn or tavern were popular subjects for many 17th-century Dutch artists, the work at hand may be related to Aert Maes (1620-1664).
Provenance: The estate of George Way.
