Oil on copper with cradle-like wood backing board, 16 1/2 x 12 3/4 in. (42.0 x 32.5 cm),framed.
Condition: Minor paint losses, subtle creases and rippling to the copper surface, varnish inconsistencies.
Provenance: The estate of George Way.
Estimate $500-700
Framed dimensions are 20 1/2 x 16 3/4 x 1 inches.
The wood frame backing is not attached to the copper. It consists essentially of a strainer with horizontal and vertical cross pieces.
