Note: David James Gilhooly III was an American ceramicist and printmaker. Gilhooly, together with Robert Arneson, Peter Vandenberge, Chris Unterseher and Margaret Dodd, were what was later to be called The Funk Ceramic Movement of the San Francisco Bay Area. The artist's work is in the collections of the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, National Gallery of Canada, Palm Springs Desert Museum, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, Anderson Collection at Stanford University, and the Whitney Museum of American Art.
