Clayton Pinkerton (American, 1931-1993)
The Teapot. Initialed and dated "CP88" l.r., signed or inscribed, titled, and initialed "CLAYTON PINKERTON/.../CP/PM/C-8-88/891B" on the reverse. Mixed media including acrylic, pencil, and pastel on black paper, 30 x 44 in., framed. Condition: Rippling, deckled edges, tack holes near corners, small losses to corners, not examined out of frame.
Provenance: Acquired from the artist's summer studio/gallery in Amador City, California, after the artist's death, by family descent to the current owner.

The frame glass has cracked and a small part is missing at lower left.
