N.B. Jaggu Prasad is the best-known member of a group of Indian miniaturists from Jaipur. These artists work in a traditional style of highly detailed representational watercolor painting that they learned from their elders and have been practicing since childhood. Prasad applies vivid hues with his meticulous brushwork, creating delicate renderings of fruit, vegetables, flowers, and insects that directly reference the tradition of botanical illustration.
