Two Depictions of Songbirds: Eastern Bluebird and Myrtle Warbler
Each signed "Robert Verity Clem/1954" l.r., Myrtle Warbler titled on an unattributed typed label affixed to the backing, both with labels from Merwin's Art Shop, New York, affixed to the backings.
Gouache and watercolor on paper/board, sight sizes 11 x 8 3/4 in. (27.9 x 22.2 cm),framed.
Condition: Toned, not examined out of frames.
Estimate $1,000-1,500
There is some soiling to Warbler but most if not all of this is on the interior of the glass. The toning and fading are mild but visible. Although they have not been removed from their frames there are no extra issues to report. The frames are 18 3/4 x 14 3/4 x 1 inches each.
